This elastic support is made to your specifications. It supports the abdomen for people with weak or paralyzed abdominal muscles. This device is used predominately for pediatrics, but can be used by anyone with this condition.

The Custom Abdominal Binder assists
in the rehabilitation process on several levels:

 

Improves the biomechanical support for the diaphragm

 

Improves the mid-trunk stability and postural support

 

Fosters normal development of the chest wall by reducing rib flaring

 

 

Instructions on taking anatomical measurements for Custom Abdominal Binders

 

Measure the distance from the Zyphoid Process to
Sacroiliac Crest, or basically the bottom of
sternum (where the ribs come together at the breastbone)
to the hip-bones or the tail-bane (total in Inches)

Measure the circumference around the belly (at widest
point, typically around the belly button, total in inches)
 

 

We will take these actual measurements and add 3 to 4 inches
for the and loop needed for closure (and to allow for some growth
of the patient)
